VISION

Make it Cheaper

Space-based products have more performance and safety and reliability verification requirements than ground-based products, and their project costs are very high.

Space Cubics is a "JAXA Startup" company to produce a high-reliability computer for satellites or other space products, incorporating techniques accumulated through operations at International Space Station (ISS) by Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). Our products are easy to use, ready to use for start-ups and serious space industries.  We will significantly reduce the project cost of developing space product.

Make it Easier

Even if you have excellent technology, developing of space product is not easy for companies and organizations without space development experience. Even if companies are interested in space development, there are many cases that they don't know what they should  have started with. As a result, they often hesitate to involve in space field at the planning phase. Space Cubics provides total support for space development so that companies interested in space can easily enter space field.

Anyone in Space

Space Cubics makes it easy to enter space development by providing space computer with low-cost and total support, and contributes to increase the private space industry. The goal of Space Cubics is to create a new business by rapidly expanding the need for space as many companies, organizations and even individuals enter space development.

And one day, the hotel will be built on the moon, aiming to realize the era when anyone can go to space.

PRODUCT

Cost-saving vs Reliability

Our products reduce your total budget for developing a space product. It is often the case that a project uses cheap single board computers because of the limited budget. But the decision may affect whether your mission succeed or not. Or even using radiation hardened parts don't solve all of your mission problems nor prevents any crashes of your space product, either. Don't you want to increase reliability with low cost?

Fault tolerance

In general, almost all of high-reliability products do not have failure tolerant function. Even if a space-graded high-reliability product is used, it's often the case that the computer is failed by single events in space. If the system will be freezed, you can not fix it from the Earth. On the other hand, our product is built on the idea of recovery from failures and has many failure tolerant functions. For instance, it will handle TMR (Triple modular redundancy) and hot/cold standby replication. The failure tolerant functions detect malfunction caused by radiation effects or software bugs in real-time, then it is recovered to normal state.

Easy of use

Best thing about our product is that all you have to do is to write your mission software and decide your command set, then just forget about everything else. In addition to the failure tolerant function, our products have other useful functions, such as ISS compatible network protocol, TTEthernet and popular middle-ware ROS or cFS. Furthermore, we can custom-design software/CPU board/FPGA as you would like to change.Space Cubics supports the success of your mission.

JOIN OUR TEAM

We are always looking forward to meet people to work with. If you get interested in, please drop us a line via an application form.

Space Cubics was founded by engineers who had been working in space and computer industries.  We design and do engineering computers for outer space with our passion, joy, and love.

Some people are specialized in space engineering and some are specialists in computer architecture or digital logic circuit. And others are software hackers.  Every engineer is a specialist in their filed. However, we know that even if you are a top-notch engineer in your field, there is a bunch of problems and tasks you can't solve by yourself.  That's why we founded our company to tackle the problem we are trying to solve.  We strive to pursue self-improvement as engineers and human beings to provide great improvements to our lives.

Space Cubics at the moment is still small and not strong enough to achieve big goals we have in our mind.  If you are interested in designing, development or sales of space crafts especially in the field of computer science, communications, propulsion, structures, thermal fluid analysis or system engineering, or bored working on computers for earth environment, or not doing engineering work for various reasons, please drop us a line.  We are always interested in a coffee chat with you. If you like criticizing the others without countermeasure, or look down upon the others, we respectfully request you, with excellent skills and career, to refrain from applying.
